Starc strikes in the first over... 0-1

This is going to be a real test for the SA batters.
Great (and very surprising) stat:

Just looked at the scores, did a double take. Is it a test match or an ODI? Aussies all out for 212 off just 56!!!!!

I thought the Saffers would struggle with the bat, but it's not looking good as it stands.

A decent first hour for South Africa on day 2... 44 runs added by Bavuma 36* and Bedingham 17*

SA 87-4

One odd moment earlier when Bavuma looked plumb, but survived a review...

27.3 Hazlewood to Bavuma, no run
Given lbw! Bavuma reviews but he does not look confident Full length, nipping in down the slope. He's caught on the crease driving the wrong line with no footwork. There's a spike on Snicko! Bavuma survives but he didn't review straight away. An odd one.

If nothing else, DRS has illustrated that batters definitely don't always know when they've edged the ball.

I'd say if South Africa can get within striking distance it's still an open game. Lords is normally best for batting in day 3 and 4.

Cummins' record at first change is different class.

156 wickets at 21.85, not including the current match.

Note that most of the bowlers above him (apart from Jamieson and Garner really) on that list either played before the first world war or are stone cold shite the moment they have to bowl outside Australia.

And if you put a qualification in there, say 20 test matches, he's only behind garner
