Cardiff fans were banned from Brighton after they went on the rampage before the match at Withdean in 2000/01. So, the following season, they smashed up Worthing instead. Does anyone remember going to Ninian Park, in 00/01, and having bottles filled with urine thrown at them? Does anyone remember seeing the Cardiff stewards doing precisely nothing by way of intervention?

That is incorrect.

Cardiff fans have never been banned from Brighton and they have never gone on the rampage.

Have been told that there is a good account in this book about Hove Park 1997.

they are apparently quite complimentary about the events that day.

They still dont admit we had the better of them, but they dont admit they got the better of us either !!

Thick twats, anyone with a modicum of local knowledge would know that you end up in Broadwater if you cross the tracks!

If it's the day i'm thinking they chased Albion fans all around the park even though we outnumbered them

They recieved a bit of a slap in Old Shoreham RD,Though it may of been cos OB held back a fair number down Goldstone Lane.Lets not forget the poor old Soul Crew representative who tried to eat a flower pot at The Station Hotel.

...apparently it used to happen at Man Utd when the away fans had the bottom half of the stand behind the goal...fortunately on my one and only visit we were given the whole stand, I was one of the people at the back taking the p!$$ out of the manure fans eating their prawn sandwiches in the boxes behind us.

Anybody remember Hove Park 1997 ?
I remember being a gobby 15 year old. I think the cardiff fans exact words were "you callin us sheepshaggers, I'll sheepshag you in a minute", my reply was "f*** off", and my mate got a slap :lolol:
They then charged us up the hill on OSR and we shit it, there weren't any lads there, it was mainly people about my age watching it kick off outside the northstand. It was quality watching it it from up there, it looked like the fight scene out of braveheart
