I have always liked the catchy The lion sleeps tonight by Tight Fit (the 'live performances' and video were by 3 models, miming).

Similarly, Dr.Jones by Aqua. Ridiculous lyrics and duet, but the lively dance beat gets me.

It really is nonsense isn't it? Especially when you get bands that used to be considered "cool" and then they get too mainstream and become "cool to hate", the likes of Coldplay and The Killers.
