Yes I know we've had threads similar before but yesterday North Stand performance has got me thinking how it's gonna be a lot easier to get new songs going - and we really need each player with there own song. I'll chuck some suggestions below, trying to keep it fairly simple to start - maybe some of the vocal North Stand lads will see some and start them at games...?

NB - Some are sung already * This isn't a thread to 'whittily' post 7 verses of a song and change 1 line to an Albion theme by the way - those will never catch on!

Casper Ankergren - Na na na na na na na na na na na Casper Ankergren, Ankergren, Casper Ankergren - tune is Baby Give It up

Inigo Calderon -
1) Calde, Whoever you may be,
you should be king in your own country
but you're here with us, in Sussex by the Sea
and you turned down the scum from St Marys

tune is Lord of the Dance * I know some didn't like 'scum' for SCC so feel free to suggest a change

2) Calderon, Calderon, Inigo Calderon
Got this tune in my blooming head but can't think of it. Maybe an 80's or 90's tune - pop song...AAAAHHH HELP!

Gordon Greer
1) GG, there's only one GG, There's only one GG - tune is blue moon

2) GG's gonna get ya (Ala the Charlie song)

Will Buckley

1) He plays on the left, he plays on the riiiiiiiiiight; That boy Will Buckley, makes Messi look shite - tune is best trip

2) Willian, William Buckley runs down the wing for me - da da da da (hearthbeat :moo:)

Craig Noone
Nooooooone, Noone will tear you apart again - tune is 'love will tear us apart'

KLL
Viva Kazenga, viva Kazenga
Running down the wing, hear the Albion sing, viva Kazenga

(not sure the tune but like the old Man U Ronaldo song - this was suggested by @Noooooone but only 1 prob is i'm not sure if the 'viva' thing works with Lua Lua - was there some European connection as to why they sang it for Ronaldo or not?

CMS
We've got Mackail-Smith, we've got Mackail-Smiiiiiiith. f*** off Glenn Murray, we've got Mackail-Smith - tune is best trip - feel free to suggest something instead of the judas' name if you don't want to mention him :)

C C CMS / C C CMS / C C CMS - same tune as 'seasiders'

Feel free to add more or change peeps - this is worth a try...:bhasign::bhasign::bhasign:

I bloody HATE that scores from the left stuff. For the love of GOD come up with something vaguely original instead of rehashing the same stuff that every club in the country sings.

And it's not called "Best Trip" It's a very famous Beach Boys song called Sloop John B. If we MUST use it.

Totally agree - though it's obviously safer to rehash something that's tried and tested. Most new songs fail because either not enough people know the tune, or they just simply don't WORK.

So, in the name of creativity, and ready to be shot down in flames, here's an effort of mine for CMS ...

[To the tune of The Crystals' Da-Doo Ron Ron - YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

He signed up on a Monday and our hearts stood still
Da-doo run run run da-doo run run
He scores goals for fun, we know he'll get his fill
Da-doo run run run da-doo run run
Yeah, he's CMS
Yeah, faster than the rest
Yeah, we know he's the best
Tearing you apart for the Albion

Not sure about the last line: improvements welcome

Oh FFS the only positive of Bennett going was losing that crap song. I think our new players deserve something original surely.

To the tune of Brown Girl in the ring:

William Buckley lalalalala
Williiiam Buckley laaaaalalalalala

SIMPLE, NEW AND EFFECTIVE!!!!

Also, I hope now that we have a ground people will just try new stuff out there rather than endless attempts to get some sort of approval on here?

Nice suggestions Big Tone, I shall accompany you in singing them from our vantage points in the Norf Stand.

Kazenga needs the Que Sera Sera song ("please score a goal for me and sign for us permanently") that was suggested on here, better then just singing his name to the tune of Tom Hark which is over-used, gay, irritating and just plain ass gas.

Really think we should adapt "We'll be coming/tartan army" song for Gordon Greer.

I'm sure someone can come up with much, much better lyrics than me, I just thing its a catchy tune and one he'll appriciate being a scot.

So something along the lines of...

Gordon Greer
Gordon Greeeeeeeeeeer
He's the captain of our side,
When you the hear the noise of the Brighton north stand boys,
He's the captain of our side

or perhaps

He's the captain,
He's the captain,
He's the captain of our side,
When you hear the schrill of our tartan army boy
You'll be running for the hills

How about a slight reworking of the old Peter Ward/John Crumplin song for Will Hoskins?

"My eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the king,
He plays for Brighton Hove Albion and his name is Will Hoskins,
Defenders are all frightened of the goals that he puts in,
and the stripes go marching ON ON ON!"

and LuaLua to the tune of Louis Louis surely?

I posted this in the CMS thread but don't think many people saw it. If you think it is crap just say after all, only an idea.

To the tune on the "Hoakie Coakie"

Craaaaaiiiiig Mackail Smith
Craaaaaiiiiig Mackail Smith
Craaaaaiiiiig Mackail Smith
He's Blonde
He's Fast
He scores goals
