simple song.. the same tune as the Glenn Murray song

"You can't catch us, you can't keep up"............ (repeat ad nauseum)

Good f***ing grief.

I've got an idea. Why don't we sing some songs about BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION? You know, the team we support. The team that have just won the league title.

Aside from a bit of abuse at the start when Saints form the guard of honour, Saturday should be all about celebrating OUR team's achievement, not deriding the opposition's lack of.

Seriously, it's as if some Brighton fans have taken more pleasure from Southampton finishing below us than us finishing top.

I completely agree and completely disagree.

I will spend most of my time singing and celebrating our achievements as I always do, but this is still a south coast derby match and a rivalry with a history this season of over confident saints fans and a manager who flippantly made belittling comments.

It has nothing to do with saints achievements it has everyone to do with what saints fans and manager said about us.

smalltime?.......Lighten up guys

This is playful banter, it is part and parcel of football. It recognises what has been said and what has actuaully happened.
I don't get upset when we get the usual gay jibes, I actually laugh when other clubs make humourous banter about us, (tesco bags etc)

maybe I am not just not serious enough to be bigtime?

keeping up,

na-na na-na.......

Actually you're right. This is a derby game, albeit neither team is each other's main rivals, and the atmosphere should reflect that. It's also true that Southampton and Adkins in particular deserve plenty of abuse after some of the things said during the season.

I'm just sick to death of thread upon thread about the subject. Some have gone completely overboard and it does make us look tin pot, 'little Brighton getting one over the big, bad Saints'.

If Bournemouth are Bompey then this makes us the Saintgulls (or something).

It's irrelevant anyhow, we barely sing at home, apart from 'Aaalbion', 'seeegulls' and the occasional, way too gast 'Gosbts'.

Southampton is a grim place though, home to some people with a very over-inflated view of their club's limited achievements.

Here's a song to the tune of "here we go". It goes "let them win, let them win, let them win"

Seriously though, congrats to the Albion.

Not sure how we got more players in the L1 team of the year. Guess were a team of individuals rather than a team.

LOL - and what was that pray tell? They were not being mean and hurtful were they? Thoughtless bullies.

Safeway cheers, and I agree

Klaaturberada, I have been quite an active follower over the season of the southampton echo (the saints argus equiv) and there has been loads of crap written about us as well as moronic saints fans on the argus site, often demeaning and rarely gracious or complimentary from the element that do so.

Hurtful? this sort of stuff is water off a ducks back to most football fans, but the difference I have seen on Argus and on Southampton Echo, is Brighton fans were generally talking up Brighton and our achievements (and not deriding saints) whereas many Saints fans do seem to have delusions of grandeur (based on their recent superior past history) and simply refuse to accept our better team/season and thus slag us off/belittle.

I couldn't give a toss where saints finish tbh, good luck to them, I am revelling in our own success. Though there are a fair few fans Saints in particular (not all) who will refuse to show us the respect i believe we've earned this year and for this often vocal element on the echo and argus who have had a season long derisory superiority complex and for Mr Adkins ill judged comments in Novemmber a couple of very brief interludes (for 1 night only) are a simple friendly and humerous reminder........ they got it wrong.

We are the best team by far

This saints shit is getting really boring now, everytime I come on here all I hear is about Southampton, can't we just celebrate our own success? Yes I dislike saints as much as everybody but this stuff is becoming very over the top, I don't really care about Saints anymore and am just pleased we are Champions.
