Thought the pyrotechnics during their presentation were decidedly limp. Expecting a lot better at Twickenham in a few weeks with Metallica! :)
Liked the tape getting caught up in the wires of the airborne cam. Thought the flame thrower was going to toast it causing a mass evacuation. Happened to me once on a smaller scale, party popper over the lampshade, tape landing on cake candle below......

In a general sense, football trophy presentations are stupidly long these days and it’s in part due to getting everyone involved. It’s why stadiums are empty by time trophy lifted. It’s a good 15 to 20mins after the whistle. In the old days not only had the teams received a trophy, they’d done their lap as had the runners up. Instead we have this orchestrated nonsense that takes an age to put together. It does get a bit boring and takes the shine off. The music is also very cliche, prefer the sound of the crowd - well the ones who prepared to wait half an hour anyway!! :)
I thought it was funny when the streamers got caught in the overhead camera wires and City players almost pulled the cameras down tugging at it

Serve them right you have to be thickest fans in the country. 30,600 fans today had basic intelligence to realise if you run on the pitch, no only would you miss the trophy celebration, but you would also miss the cup final and the next 10 seasons.

Really good fun watching though. There was one poor sap who, having watched loads of his fellow fans get escorted out, decided to go for it about 10 mins after the final whistle when the stewards were a bit more organised. He made it to the by-line.

Absolutely correct. In reality the fans who have come to watch a football match couldn't give a hoot about the medical staff, the tea lady, the groundsman, or the switchboard operator …. their heroes are the players, the manager, and possibly the CEO and the Chairman. The backroom staff should be thanked afterwards.

We were having a chuckle about that too. The streamers on the airborne cam, not your party popper on the lampshade.
