Just seems like a calm, decent, level headed guy to me. He can't be that uninspiring considering we're 8th

Of course he can! Players can respond to plenty of other things, his tactics, his coaching, the other coaches etc. There’s loads of stuff that goes into getting good results.

I just find it funny that you think he can’t possibly be boring or uninspiring because we won some football matches, or that winning games is really an answer to that question.

Were you thinking this when we beat Fulham to win 6 on the bounce, or after playing excellently and getting a point at the Etihad the game after?
Yes absolutely. He’s uninspiring and has no connection to the fans

Nah because one of our worst players until the bloody subs was Jack and he definitely ‘gets it’.
Always a 7 out of 10 player since he first broke into the team but boy he’s having a dip at the moment, not near those levels

you can’t beat us even though we had nine men, plus at the time there was 12 of you on the pitch. Taylor is a twat.

First time since 1933 we’ve got the double laughing rights.

We going to Wembley you’re not.

6 points and loads of laughter mainly in your direction.

one question……..Can we play you every week?

Was he boring and uninspiring when we won 6 straight games a month ago?
It’s possible he may have been. We have good players and we augmented them with a quarter of a billion worth of talent. Those players are good enough to win plenty games. It’s very difficult to work out if he’s really getting the best out of them over the season. It’s an open question for me

Giving yourself too much credit. It was actually 1932 - both games were before the turn of the year. Now off you pop.

Still in Brighton
I've not read any comments and just popped on here after watching the game on a stream (god, I hate Murray as a commentator. Great player but the way he talks really irritates). Thought it was a close, exciting game decided by a fluke off the arse that span in. We were oddly devoid of ideas vs 9, which made it particularly frustrating. Mitoma looks overplayed and many players looked tired.

Anyway, there's always drama vs the Palace, it's why I like the rivalry (first game I was at vs them was the Morton one). Please don't call it a derby it's a rivalry.

We've been to Wembley. Twice. Do keep up.

And to Marseille, Amsterdam, Athens and Rome. Palace fans may need to refer to Google Maps for help with those.

Not sure how many of today’s squad you would want in the trenches with you. Nice guys, getting on well, having a laugh, etc don’t get you results when it matters.
Put Enciso, Veltman, Maupay, Barnes, Duffy, Igor and even Gilmour in that squad and we might win a few battles.

Edit:not forgetting Knockhart 😉

100% agree. We’ve built a team of ‘nice’ players

@Stato hit the nail on the head earlier. We look like worldbeaters against teams that want to play. Against teams that sit and break? Hopeless. Even Palace with 9 I didn't think we'd break them down.

There is a more pace in the oil tanker industry than there was in our back 4 today I just don't get why that isn't a metric in our armoury at the back

I don't think it's anything to do with the players not knowing how much this fixture means to the fans. We did well to get back into it after conceding so early and completely dominated the rest of the first 45 but it was a very poor second half performance, especially after Palace went down to 9 men. Only one shot on target in nearly an hour of football.
But all is not lost. 8 th is still on and that would almost certainly mean European football again so lots to play for.
Leicester though really is a must win.

Glad it isn't just me. He uses such a weird tone / intonation.

Even more baffling is that when he's a pundit in a studio he talks, y'know, like a human would.
