Horrid smell as I drove through portslade into hove this afternoon. Gassy/fertiliser/fart smell.

Any idea why the whole of Brighton seems to smell of solvents today? At least Woodingdean and Hollingbourne do...

At this time of year farmers put a lot of smelly stuff on their fields and plough it in. Could be that if the wind is in the wrong direction.
