Just thought I would give this guy a mention since his death was announced today.
I don't think a lot of people were really familiar with him, or his music, because he was a little underated in spite of a bit of a revival a few years back.
If you don't know the music of this maestro of soul check out Youtube, in particular Cry to Me, None of Us are Free, and his version of Down in The Valley.
According to Wiki, he has left 21 children, 90 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. That's going to be a heck of a funeral gathering !
