Sol Campbell - hee-haw, hee-haw

I have not seen a defender resemble a donkey as much as Campbell since Liverpool had Kvarme playing for them.

Rio Ferdinand is marginal, but Sol Campbell is absolutely useless.

How and why does he EVER get picked for ENGLAND ?

Hopefully Erikkson is watching Arse getting thoroughly humiliated at home right now, as they stroll past sol campbell with complete ease . We are DOOMED if he plays in Turkey !

Well I don't care if he's shite for arsenal, or if they get beat by 17 goals by every European club (and they try), but please don't let him get a nice rewarding England place just because it's the fashion to stick with a known team (even if it's shit).
Will we see the Nevilles and Scholes and Butt continue right up to the point that they themselves have to retire? At least Dyer has seemingly been recognised before he wasted any more time in the selection, but I fear that SGE will stick with a consistent squad soon, in preparation for next summer, regardless of what donkeys they prove to be now.

Not to say that Campbell never had any good games for The ENGLAND, but he's not looking good enough for any future ones.

With some players international appearances lead to more international appearances, a la 'John Barnes' syndrome. Initially gets picked because he played a few good games for his club, but is crap for the first 10/15 games. Response? "He's still inexperienced at this level". Plays one good game / scores a blinder against Brazil but is then rubbish for the next 20 caps. Response? "Well you've got to pick him. What about that goal he scored in the Maracana?"

After another 20 caps of mediocrity he gets picked on the grounds that "he's an experienced international - look at all the caps he's got". Phil Neville is heading for "experienced international" status without even having to score a blinder against Brazil.

One thing that gives me hope is that Campbell and Ferdinand always seem to look better when playing together. Am I right in thinking that the only time they have played together since the world cup is against Turkey, when the defence looked reasonably solid.
