Sol Campbell was apparently considering his International future until Sven intervened, following what he believes is unfair treatment from refs and the FA, over his sending off and the report to the video panel.

WHAT You big sulking girl. Sorry, Sol (and Sven) but if playing for England means that little to you that you are prepared to throw it away, as you throw the rest of your toys out of your pram, then I don't want you playing for England in the first place.

What right does he think he has to blackmail the FA into leniency by threatening this. I say he should have been told "Oh okay then Sol, if that's how much you regard International football then you won't be considered anyway. Hmm, that John Terry looks pretty useful, and an ideal partner for Rio. You still here Sol, haven't you got some important photoshoots to be getting on with?"

And before anyone asks, YES, I did feel the same about Alan Shearer when he did similar before the Euro's over that incident where he kicked Robbie Savage in the head.

If you do not WANT to play for England, I don't want you.

I agree with every aspect of that post. The fact that he would even consider linking the two - his playing for his country, which is a f***ing privilege not a right - and his own abysmal disciplinary record domestically, should mean he is never selected again.

Always thought Campbell was over-rated anyway, remember seeing Salas do him up like a kipper at Wembley a few years ago throughout the game, looked a right numpty.
