Way way too much positivity, which I'm now unable to sit comfortably with.

So without anyone dying how do we end up playing away to Rochdale on a cold wet Wednesday night, in August?

Bloom sells to someone/an organisaion that seems great on paper, has the potential to take us to even greater things, but that organisation falls flat on its face, turns out to be clueless. Stops investing, we go broke. The stadium is sold to pay the debts, we rent our own ground for a few seasons, whilst falling down the leagues, eventually ending up back at withdean when the owners knock down the Amex for housing development (Falmer parish council go nuts).

Happy days :)

You've got me flummoxed. I thought the League Cup would provide an answer but the first two rounds are regionalised, and they're just too damn far north, whereas we're in God's southern country.

Our last pre season friendly will be on Saturday 5th, so I suppose Wednesday 2nd August is possible for an away friendly up north, but the weather isn't that bad in Rochdale then, and the stars seem unlikely to align.

So will be two seasons at best

We lose both matches to Palace by 5 goals. These goals mean they finish one place above us on GD and qualify in the last spot for Europe. MacAllister and Caicedo decide that the Palace project is their next move.
Alright son lighten up, there's no need to get silly.

The way Albion played last night, 3 successive promotions for Rochdale would seem the most probable scenario.

Brighton fans get so pissed off with the success of the club and stop supporting Brighton and start supporting Woking because it’s not so far to fall if they fail. With the loss of supporter revenue, Brighton goes broke, sells off the Amex, eventually end up playing Woking in the NL - Brighton win a string of games in the NL and get back their fan base. They get promoted to League 2. Fans start to get nervous with Brighton’s renewed success and they once again yearn for the warmth and fuzziness of supporting a team that was going nowhere. 🙄

Yorkshire becomes independent from the UK and it's top clubs are allowed to compete in the Europa League qualifying rounds.
Rochdale are the 2nd best team in Yorkshire and we draw them away in the qualifying round.

Deepest, darkest Sussex
Crypto boom, Brighton get bought out by some high-flying Crypto kids, crypto then immediately crashes and the club has to sell everything to survive, right down to Paul Barber's collection of novelty tie-pins.

There's a big flaw in that scenario.

Losing twice to Palace is as bad as it’ll get imo.

Someone like Milan Mandaric and get someone called Redknapp in as manager, it could work.
