No, I wouldn't be so ignorant. I would like to find out more before I formed opinions like that. Sorry, that's assuming that you haven't already, so let me ask, what do you know about Turkey that you dislike?

I'm not getting dragged into this. I won't throw names around either.

What makes you think the country is uncivilised? I would appreciate an answer as I have seen more places devoid of civilisation in the UK than I have in Turkey, but perhaps you have been somewhere in Turkey that I haven't?

Bodrum and Mamaris in the summer are pretty damned uncivilised. But I would lay that at the feet of the British Tourists yacking up in the streets after one too many Efes and Raki shots :)

Financial Fair Play and his massive wages are the issues here.

Pato leaving Europe is a shame. Balotelli leaving England would be too. He's fantastic entertainment.

I called the country uncivilised, not a specific city.

Pato has gone to Corinthians to get his career back on track. Corinthians have the same medical staff as the Brazil team of 2002. The mob that got Ronaldo firing and back on form. AC Milan have first dibs to buy him back as well. So expect him back in an AC milan shirt after the next WC if everything goes according to his plan.

As for Sneijder he is on too much money and Inter Milan are trimming the fat in time for the new fair play regulations.

Looked like he was going to Liverpool BUT

A) Champions League football.
B) Champions of Turkey.

I don't think this has anything to do with money at all because there's no doubt Liverpool would of had him if it was.

No, it IS all about money. Players earn ridiculous salaries in Turkey... he will earn 50% at Gala than he will at Inter... ridiculous but true and the reason why TUrkish football is in such a state... throwing money it cant afford at foriegners and paying its own average players nothing.

Galatasaray's offer has been on the table since the start of the window, it has been well documented. Sneijder was waiting for other offers to come in, the Liverpool link seemed desperate but even they didn't want to hid in the end so he only had Galatasaray. Nightmare move in my opinion, and a real shame. Hopefully he'll return to a civilised country before too long to ply his trade, he is much better than to be playing in Turkey.

I agree with your explanation for this post later on... of course everyone has the right and thats fine but this post verges on the insulting. You actually have no real evidence for your opinion but you use value laden statements. Something along the lines of 'personally I dont like Turkey so I wouldnt do it' would be fine. Even though I live here I could spend hours telling you things that are wrong with this counttry... as I could about the UK. I can even understand people disliking Turkey based on their experiences of Turkish people in the UK..... but they are value judgements and should be considered as so and not laden as if they are xenophobic statements as your first post sounds.

p.s. Both Scott Carson and Mcgregor seems to manage ... both had contracts extended.

Why? Two years ago, he was player of the tournament at the World Cup, and in the running for World Player of the Year.

Massive coup for Gala I've no doubt, I thought he would have gone to PSG or Man City or something

Hmm, shame. He was one player I wanted to see play here to see how good he was. I was hoping he'd go to Liverpool or United. I presume he's gone for the dosh - though I'm surprised Galatasary are that loaded.

The uncivilised comment was bang out of order, and I apologise. There was no real basis for it, and no need for it either.
