A thread about crap records that you really - I mean REALLY - want to hate, but you can’t because they hold that special place in your heart. I am talking about... your first slow dance.

Come on then - it's own up time... What was the first record you did the ‘going round slowly in circles to the last song at the end of the disco, trying to snog your dance partner while they are trying to avoid your halitosis’ type dance to?

And if you’re really brave - who was it with?

1. Please Don’t Go - KC & The Sunshine Band
2. Not telling you. Not brave enough.

Age 14, not saying who - we are both happily married now, but not to each other!

and it wasn't a 'slow dance' as such, more a 'snog' in the corner!!

Je t'aime. Actually I can't remember, but I do remember she put her tongue in my mouth. I was shocked.

Careless Whisper - the Capital Tasty Spare Ribs of smoochy dances. My wandering hands and lithe fingers knew no bounds down The Suite when they trotted that one out...

I can't honestly remember - perhaps "Hey There Lonely Girl" (Stylistics?)

But nothing beats my ex-wife who swears that when on holiday in Spain she was caught in a slow dance to, wait for it...

Tubular Bells.

The whole second side (got to be 30 minutes or so...)

Dr Hook: "A little bit more"

20 years on I now find the lyrics a touch creepy:

When your body's had enough of me
And you're layin flat out on the floor
When you think I've loved you all I can
I'm gonna love you a little bit more
