Now, I do not wish to jump on the "We are getting a new ground, rich Chairman, Premiership in 5 years" bandwagon. However with Brighton being singled out by alot of people as being "sleeping giants", I ask who else would you say has potential to be big clubs in the not too distant future?

Dont say Leeds because obviously they ARE a big club:rolleyes:, and have already had a lengthy spell in the top flight. Dont say Charlton or Newcastle either.

Pick a club that has not been in the Premier League, who in your opinion has the potential (for whatever reason) to make the grade.

State your reasons why.....

QPR they have the money through their directors and the best manager for getting a club into the prem in Neil Warnock. Yes they have been in the old Div 1 but a long time ago.

Huddersfield , not sure if they've been in the premier league or not but they have the potential to be up there in the next 5 years .

Just Brighton

Huge catchment area, the only professional football club in Sussex, massive wealth in this area of the country, a new stadium, a chairman with a large bank balance, a manager who knows about football who is transforming the club into a big thinking club, premiership players coming in on loan (so far only 1 but hopefully more will follow), an international player in the squad.

A team who will get promoted next season! If we build carefully we could have a very big club for years to come

frustrating thing with us is that you look around at clubs like Ipswich, Norwich, Southampton, even Palace and wonder if their possible catchment area is really that much bigger than ours  ok they've been slightly more succesful than us but hardly winning trophies throughout the decades!

I don't know about them being sleeping giant but I reckon Millwall could climb the divisions and massively increase their fan base in time.

The new Den has gained a reputation for creating an atmosphere normally found at grounds with much larger crowds, if they managed to increase average gates I could see them luring fans from their more sedate South London neighbours and those who crave a more 'old school' match day experience.

They could also be helped by their nearest neighbours recet woes too IMO.
