Programme about conspiracy theories regarding 9/11

Quite interesting regarding the Pentagon.

Sorry this isn't meant in bad taste, seeing as this board was touched by the tragedy.

Just quite interesting and not sensationalist.

It is a programme around why conspiracy theories come about as much about the theories themselves.

Has said that a lot of the theories have arisen because people believe that government and security services are highly efficient and wouldn't allow something like this to happen. Also the following investigations are often rushed and flawed - leading to "holes" in which people place their own theories.

Didn't realise that there is a permanent demostration at ground zero against the government supposed "cover-up".

Has just raised a very interesting question. Was reported at the time that some of the highjackers were seen drinking and smoking in a strip club a while before the attack. This doesn't fit in with the image of fundamentalist muslims extremists.

If they weren't devout muslims who were they ?

To be honest, you could wallpaper the inside of the Milennium Dome ten times over with the number of murky theories surrounding 9/11, and still have enough left over to do my hallway. They make for mildly interesting reading sometimes I suppose, but none of them are ever substantiated by anything, and are usually just bollocks made up by people with their own agendas against one thing or another.

Thats not to say that there may not be a nugget of truth in some of them, but you never get the complete picture, because 99.9% of it is heresay and guesswork to make leaps over the gaping gaps of evidence.

They've got a few cranks on there - only in America.

Guy on at the moment who hires his services out to people whose minds are being controlled by electronic "mind waves".

He is currently standing in the road - with er, a television aerial.

Good programme though, shows you can in fact create a conspiracy from anything involving a government by the very nature of how they work.

Finishing off now debunking all the theories.

reported by who and when? shirly this is just another part of the conspiracy fabrication, someone with anti-government stand 'reports' something and it gets repeated and refered to by others, eventually getting sucked up into the conspiracy tornado, but no-one ever actually checks for the source...

anyway, i was going to say that, while i dont usually go for conspiracy theories (theres usually more holes than the official version and such wide web of participants that to maintain the secrecy would be impossible), i do find the thing with the Pentagon intriguing as there was a) too small a hole in the building and b) distinct lack of debris.

The best theory I saw on TV avout 9/11 was that it was the US Government who deliberatley caused the plane crashes so to stop all air traffic over the US......wait for it......so that Aliens could visit the US Government somewhere in the US without fear of being seen


Of course this was backed up by hillbilly type trailer park trash folk who saw "strange lights in the sky" the night that no planes we're meant to be flying in US air space.

To be honest, if they were devout Muslims would they be attempting to kill thousands of innocent people??

I see no conspiracy behind it. We all know how easy it is to get things onto Aeroplanes that we shouldn't, you just lie when they ask you the questions at check in.

You only see what they want you to though, so never believe that what you see is the truth !!
