The Championship is the 4th best supported league in Europe yet the obsession the press in this country have with the Premier League means some of the ignorance is amazing.

The press would rather write 25 articles about Wenger leaving Arsenal than the impact Hughton has had on the club.

There's a definite gap in the market for an EFL focused news website. I know the Football League Paper have a website but that's about it for dedicated news sources.

Three I would recommed:

https://www.ntt20.com/
http://www.theleaguepaper.com/
https://experimental361.com/

But I agree there could be more. I'm led to believe that there's limited commercial appeal for such stuff in amongst larger media though, which I suppose has to be broader (and therefore shitter)..

I'm just listening to NTT20 now, good recommendation.

It's always felt massively imbalanced. The BBC have only made the live Championship text thing a regular feature this season after toying with it last year. Go to any of the mainstream media websites and into the football section and you end up going way down the rabbit hole before you get anywhere near football outside of the EPL, Scotland or Europe.

Thanks for those. On the subject of why people don't cover the EFL more.. well, I think you're right. It's a market that's been around a long time and nobody seems to have been able to finance covering it properly. There's a lot of interest in individual clubs/division which doesn't seem to translate to mass interest across the board. Note how it took C5 next to no time to split its Championship footage away from L1/L2, despite their intentions to mix things up at the start. Outside of the top 2 divisions, advertisers aren't really bothered and someone has got to pay for the programmes. It's a shame that all we're left with is endless coverage of Wenger in/out, Chelsea's potential summer signings and whether or not Guardiola's a genius or just a little bit loopy.

The Argus and their equivalents write 3-4 stories about Champ clubs *every* day.
Huddersfield Examiner (Hudds), Chronicle (for Newcastle), Yorkshire Evening Post (Leeds), Birmingham Mail (Villa) etc etc.

There's no shortage of local radio coverage available either.

Like em or hate em, The Argus literally writes 25 articles about the Albion, 52 weeks a year.

Of course. I don't care to traipse around various local rags to try and get my fix. I need a one stop shop. Because: lazy.
