Cor, anyone been struck by this post-influenzaishly? The little space behind my eyeballs has been throbbing like mad for a month and having me feel like i've just come back from Glastonbury. Lockets and paracetamol are in action, but blimey this fake, unheated fever won't go away and my naps disappear into four-hour ones.

Just far enough away from LDC
I ended up flying with sinusitis. It was the most excrutiating pain I've had apart from a kidney infection.

I took drugs, nasal spray, alcohol and anything else I could get hold of on that flight. Luckily it was Virgin Upper Class so getting alcohol wasnt a battle

Suffered with it for years. Had 2 operations. My advise is the best medicine for pain relief is a cold & flu capsule that says on the box helps with sinus pain. Go to the doctors for antibiotics. Avoid dairy products cos it causes extra mucus. Avoid caffiene & alcohol cos it makes it a lot worse.

I've had two doses of antibiotics thus far, neither working. I have another prescription tonight of some kind to collect. I am hoping it's a few grammes of cocaine. They must do some good.
The annoying thing, apart from the ill feeling of it and the sometimes not-quite-anything of it, is that it just means exercise is so difficult. So i'm even shitter at football with it and that certainly pierces my inflated ego.

The posh bit
get menthol inhalations. eihter vicks in hot water with towel over your head (really) and breathe deep or albus oil on pillow- preferably both.

it is caused by your sinus becoming clogged with mucus(snot) and not draining.
the menthol opens your airways and allows drainage to occur.

antibiotics do work but needs to be prolonged dose usually 10 days.

try the menthol, first.

I went through a spell of getting it on a regular basis but haven't had it for a few years now. I think the worst thing I did was play golf whilst full of it. After putting I bend down to retrieve my ball and the liquid felt like it was just sloshing around behind my face, bloody horrible.

Blimey. That list of things not to have is pretty much all i survive by. :)
Ok, i'll try and de-dairyfy myself a bit.
Sorry to hear it was such a permanent pain for you and thanks for the advice.
