Troy McClure?

I seem to remember him being very proud of 'The Erotic Adventures of Hercules'

Smithers, Lenny or Carl would be just too obvious. I can't see it being one of this kids, so my money would be on Ned Flanders or
Patty Bouvier (as Selmer has been married at least twice - Sideshow Bob and Troy McClure).

which reminds me of one of my favourite moments in the Simpsons.

It's part of the "Special Edna (a.k.a. Love and Marking)" episode - which is definitely a classic!

At the 'Efcot Center' theme park in Florida, Homer and Bart take an electric car ride. As they get into the car (which looks a bit like a Smart Car) an announcers voice says something like, "Welcome to the electric car of the future, brought to you by the Gasoline Producers of America."

While Homer and Bart are going round the ride very slowly the car says, in a pathetic rather whiney voice, " Hello, I am an electric car. I don't go very fast, or very far. And if you drive me people will think you are GAY."

and it then cuts to some gay animatronics chanting: "One of us! One of us!"

Classic :clap2:

Chief Wiggum's wife is called Sarah and I think she's been in a few shows. Looks almost the same as him 'cos the artists couldn't be arsed to draw a whole new character from scratch.
I think it could be Patty. After seeing a naked Homer running through the kitchen she commented "well there goes the last lingering thread of my hetro-sexuality"

Sadly the actor who voiced Troy McClure(You may remember me from such films as..) died some years ago so the character no longer appears.

There are two characters who are obviously gay - Waylon Smithers and one of Marges sisters ( I can never remember which is which). The other obvious characters would be Carl and Lenny (Not lenny!) whose relationship has distinct homosexual undertones. I think at least one is married though.

God I know too much about the Simpsons.

THPP - Mrs Wiggum has appeared in at least one episode where they're in bed and Police Chief Wiggum tries to turn the TV off by shooting at it. Eventually Mrs Wiggum tells him to use the remote like everybody else.

Hey! Maybe we could get Matt Groening to do an episode about Brighton! Or better still put some money in! BTW anyone tried Bill Gates?

Don't think it will be in the Simpson family at all, they wouldn't want to disrupt the family too much. It'll be an outside character, probably be Edna Krabappel I reckon.

Absolutely brilliant Titanic, remembering that episode has made my afternoon!

Incidently i think the 'outed' character being Patti is too obvious. I'm going for one of the religious charcters- perhaps Ned, but i reckon Rev Lovejoy.

It wont be one of the Simpsons themselves..

But the Rev. Lovejoy is married already. Would they out and already married person and (presumably) split up a marriage? Knowing the way the whole gay marriage debate is going here, I don't think they'd take that risk. I don't think an already married person will be outed. I also don't think it'll be one of the main characters (i.e. the Simpsons) because it'll become a drag on the whole show if they have to henceforth address, let's say, lisa's sexuality in every episode. So I think it'll be a regular, but fringe character. Carl and Lenny fit that profile, but might be too obvious. How about one of Chief Wiggums officers? (don't know their names)

Lou and Eddie ? i think they are too minor characters for it to be an issue really.

I'm still backing Patty Bouvier.
