Yes with the team. No with the people complaining. Last few days it's been awful.

edit. maybe I misinterpreted the poll?

There's a mix between UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS; lots of new wantaboard fans, some supporters who have normally been armchair fans while we were at more modest digs, and some who have come back to the club with the heightened anticipation that's been around - and from the result of winning the league last season.

And DISAPPOINTMENT with Gus's team selection and tactics - which, although he isn't known for standing up and admitting, have often been found a bit one-dimensional, ineffective and unsuccessful this season.
WHY have KLL, Buckley, Vicente, Noone and other quality BHAFC staff on the BENCH in favour of chucking in some loanees who aren't actually worth their salt and didn't train up for months and months to play passionately for Brighton?

We started well, with a great attitude of hopeful new boys, and headed the Championship early doors - then collapsed as soon as the pressure of (realistic) expectation started.

Been a great season with some really exciting games, Gus has mostly done ok, he's given those that got us up their chance in this div. now it's time to move on and the squad needs trimming and new players to be brought in. Slowly we're getting there.

shit ground shit fans shit team

Thats how I rate Palace season.

Me, I am still smiling big time. Always will. Didnt want to go up anyway, Championship is a very very competitve league and full of big ex prem sides, we compete very well at this level and I love every minute, we get things wrong, but the majority of the time we get it right and its enjoyable, its what REAL football is all about, Prem is not real football, its full of over paid, jumped up pricks who dive, who moan, who have no repsect for fans, who do f*** all in the community, who get paid stupid f***ing money to kick a ball around, then play golf and gloat in there fancy big cars, full of pricks that shag other players wife's, ....shite league really, much rather we play in the championship where football counts.

Very happy, and wouldn't want Gus anywhere else.

Since his arrival in Nov'09, has revolutionised the playing side of the club for the better. Look where we were.

Once he knew the game was up on promotion, he gave a last chance to (flawed at this level) Dicker, Painter & one or 2 others. Just means he can be ruthless the this Summer; no club will let the squad grow and grow out of sentiment.

All positive moving forward, and I look forward to a classier squad come August.

Whats not to be happy about. Great stadium, training ground on the way. Stadium capacity increase on the way. Championship football next year (best league going in my opinion). f*** I hate being sensible.

Of course yes, come on we all probably still pinch ourselves when we arrive at the Amex for every game...............well I know I do. I guess to give the "moaners" a bit of a chance that we have raised expectations to such a high level that perhaps some fans have some issues. But I struggle to find many.
Yes, it takes longer to get to and from the ground but with gates of 20,000, planning conditions which restricted car parking what does everyone expect? Southern Railways could raise their game a bit but perhaps the switch back to paying for travel as part of your ticket might improve things a bit.
Fans moan about the food but I have found little better out there at other grounds....I think the pies are great. Beer easily available including an ale option. Padded roomy seats for all, great view.
Finally add in a top 10 finish ( hopefully!) and the best player in the Championship in our side can we really ask for more??

we have really took are eye off the ball recently. Good season but could have been soo much better

We threw away a play off place.

I honestly cant understand why people keep saying this. We have only won 2 games against any of the top 6 all season. We've done well against nearly everyone lower down than that. Surely that suggests that we a) aren't good enough to be in the top 6, and b) are better than the majority of the division? Which, funnily enough, is more or less where we sit in the table.

Also, if the two games against Reading and West Ham (the best and 3rd best teams in the division) were more spread out, say one in January and one in March, then it wouldn't feel like we had thrown anything away. We had to play two teams who are clearly better than us in successive matches. We lost them, as expected. We were in a false position a few weeks ago in 4th, because we hadn't played these tough games yet.

I would say that we are about the 8th or 9th best team in the division, and I really don't see how anyone can argue with that. And that's exactly where we're going to finish. And our playing budget is about mid table, so Gus has done well with what we have, without achieving miracles.

It's been a great season, and I think we can hope for an even better one next year.
