there's no 'away goals count double' rule in the playoffs - if there was Swindon would have beaten us a few years back. The advantage of the home leg second is that extra time is played at your place if it's level after 180 mins.

Ok then yes of course playing the second game at home is an advantage.
In addition, check out the proposed changes back in 2003 by Palace's chief executive! Shame that didn't get approved as it looks like they'll need it this year!
