We've converted our loft into a room for the PC. When at home this is where I post from on NSC.

We have a skylight and two cats. The cats are always miaowing to go up through the skylight. It's hot tonight, so it's open anyway.

Five minutes ago, I needed to reboot my PC. I thought "It's a nice evening John/Blackadder, have a look out of the the Skylight!"

As I walked over, I felt something pop beneath my feet (no shoes on. Just socks!)

I looked down. Sheer horror!!

I have just stood on a new born chick. It is so young there were no feathers on it! The "pop" was it's guts/innards popping out! It wriggled for a few seconds then...........!!

Salem, our black cat had obvioulsy just brought in her LIVE trophy. (well it's not live now!)

I scooped it up in my dustpan and placed it in the bin.

Bloody Cats.

I've stood on insects before but never this. I can still see the stain on the carpet.

UGH!!

Not funny is it.
I did something similar in the garden last year.
While cutting back a big hedge in the garden with the shears I managed to cut a leg of a frog !
It screamed like mad, felt awful watching it in agony, so had to finish if of with the spade....
Truly sickening feeling after.

Just one of the many reasons I don't like cats! I know it's instinctive for them to catch prey, but they're such horrible ugly unendearing creatures anyway! Just the way they walk gives me the creeps! (Expecting a backlash from cat lovers!!!!)

We have cats and I like having them but they do bring back some stuff!!

Usually it's dead so I dispose of it discreetly but as we live near the river one of them brought back a rat. It was quite a large one and was putting up a fight. Our cat had lamed it so my husband went out and finished off the rat. I don't know how and didn't watch but our cat had a real huff on for the rest of the week.

I can vouch for how loudly frogs can scream. A couple of years back I was walking through some marshland when I saw a snake catch a frog and start to swallow it whole, head last. The frog knew exactly what was happening and screamed the whole time until it was gone. Probably still screaming as it was swallowed but I couldn't actually hear anything fortunately.

I've heard the "frog scream" as well. Usually our two cats tormenting one!

I wouldn't mind but they are scared of all other cats. Particularly a ferral-type one that marrauds our streets.

Another sound I hate is the wailing that Tom Cats have just before they are about to have a scrap. It seems to come from the back of their throats. Sounds eerie! Usually hear it at night when you are trying to get some sleep!

Trigger What made your post even funnier was the sound (in my mind) of the Real Trigger saying it!

Allright Dave?

Ive done worse, driving form Eastbourne to Hastings I was going through Pevensey when a cat jumped over the wall at the traffic lights straight into my cars headlights. I was hoping that all would be ok but no, the headlight was smashed with bit of fur and what looked like cats brains everywhere.

Strangely the cat was no where to be seen!

Albion Dan. On my 22nd birthday. I hit a dog driving through Burgess Hill. I didn't kill it but it had a temporary limp.

I said to some of the witnesses. "I'll take the dog to it's owners".

The reply was. "Oh that's the Gypsies up the road!"

"Oh!" was my reply (thinking "oh great" a la Oh no, not the Pikies). Fortunately one of the witnesses took the dog to the them on my behalf. I found out later that the dog was OK

This is a true story.

Trigger you were good last night on BBC with your Auntie (Sims woman) don't know if you watched it!

Whilst looking after my Dad's cottage out in the sticks in North Wales his mangie cat left a half-chewed Vole outside my bedroom every f***ing morning. One of which I trod on.

I wish the flea-ridden feline would at least eat the little bastard rodents.............. :nono:

Worst thing I have seen is a cat get run over. Its body twisted in the opposite way to its head as it went under the wheel. The cats body the twitched violently for about 5 second before finally becoming lifeless.
Poor little bugger. :(

I want your cat, he sounds quality. Any cat that can half kill a massive rat is alright with me. I hate rats.
