Walsall drew with Forest Green Rovers tonight (with FGR earning an extra point by winning the penalty shoot-out).
All of which means that a draw for Albion against FGR on November 7th will ensure that the U-21s progress (assuming Shrewsbury don't win by a margin of four goals or more against Walsall). A defeat for Albion against FGR might also prove sufficient, if Walsall win and depending on the respective scorelines. For some reason the final round of matches is not necessarily played on the same date (Shrewsbury/Walsall play a week later) which leaves ample scope for bribery, corruption and untold levels of other skulduggery between colluding clubs.
