He was under contract, but good riddance if his heart wasn't in the job.

But that was a contract that only had a few months to run, the Reading one was longer and offered more security. He did what any of us would have done. The fact that the club seemed to want the compensation rather than a decent manager, could not have helped.

i don't really have anything against coppell leaving us, i think any of us would do the same in his position. He isn't a 'fan' of our club just the same as I am not a 'fan' of the people who employ me. If I was offered a job for longer on better money with better facilities I don't see why I wouldn't take it.

However, I am still gonna sing the song cos I want to.
