You just know Spurs would come a knocking for RDZ if Conte not fit to continue. Recent history tells us that our succession planning is superb but could we really pull another gem out of the bag?

Is there any chance RDZ would would want to stan or like Potter would the lure of the wages be too strong to resist?

Hopefully De Zerbi won’t jump at the first offer, but nothing would surprise me. In some ways it’s a nice problem that other clubs want our staff.

My opinion is he won't be Spurs boss next season so they will be looking. RDZ would be possible contender but so would many others. Let's enjoy what's left of this season and overtake the Lillywhites and cement a euro spot. It may not be a straight forward release clause in the same way it is for a player.

Rather like when Ashworth left for Newcastle, he was placed on gardening leave until Newcastle paid us some compensation. With De Zerbi it coud be that the amount in the contract is what we would accept for us to release him from his contract immediately, if we were willing to let him go and he wanted to leave for another club. It isn't necessarily an automatic trigger point to allow personal term negotiations to being like it is with a player. Without reading the fine print on the contract we cannot be sure.

Just because Antonio Conte is resting at home after his operation do you autom atically seem to assume that Spurs are going to look to changing their manager?

Furthermore, even if they were, why would they automatically set their sights on RDZ? He is far from the only manager who would meet their criteria. Thomas Franck has already been mentioned on this thread, plus Pochettino was being touted on the BBC Sport website only this morning as a possible successor.
