Leon missed one penalty last season (QPR?) and the ref made him take it again because of encroachment.

He does vary which side it goes so I think that Gerrard at full stretch made a good finger tip save.

Chippy took a good penalty against Swindon in the play off semi but does he want to do it full time?

MM has already said that Leon is going to have to practise them more which says to me that he is going to stick with him.

it was barnsley at home

benjamin was tripped in the box after SKINNING one of their defenders

penalty was saved, referee spotted an INVASION of the penalty area, penalty was retaken, goalkeeper disheartened, went the wrong way- the rest is HISTORY

Although he has missed the last two, I think he managed to score the previous nine or something and so with the extra training McGhee said he will give him, I see no reason why Knight should stop taking the penalties.

Not wanting to break up the gay-fest, but it was re-taken because Sasa Ilic left his line, giving him an unfair advantage. Got there in the end.

Yes he should carry on, he takes a great penalty IMHO.

That isn't to say that 'keepers will never save them, because they are always able to pull off a great save, as Gerrard did yesterday.

I don't understand the view he should "change it a bit". Surely it's all about self confidence, and if Gerrard making a great save was indeed gonna make him doubt his whole approach then that would show a lack of confidence and that is no good for a penalty taker.

What is the change you are after? Stop aiming for the bottom corners? Stop the shimmy in the run up? How would changing either of those help?

Mr. McGhee says he keeps the job. So who are we to argue.

Keeper did a well decent save yesterday. Can´t really fault Leon for that. Like most everybody else tho, I´d prefer he - or somebody else - gave it a bit of welly. Leaves you with more options for the rebound so long as it´s on target & not just Beckham´d into orbit.
