Sheffield Utd Away In The Home End

I contacted Sheffield United in regard to the possibility of away fans going in the home end due to cheaper prices, this was the responce I received.

Thank you for your email.

For 4 games per season the home club are permitted by the Football League to offer local promotional rates without having to extend the offer to visiting fans.

Brighton do not have a large away following, normally 350 maximum and have no history of trouble or football related violence.

We only put tickets on sale cash at the turnstiles for the Hallam FM Kop therefore it would be extremely difficult for Brighton supporters to gain entry to the Family Enclosure or Global Windows stand. Any visiting supporters found to be in home sections of the ground are ejected in conjunction with the ground regulations.

We have already had 2 of these fixtures against Cardiff and Preston and have not encountered any problems or trouble of any sorts.

With rising attendances and the last game of this nature being extremely close to a sell out fixture for home fans it is possible that tickets will not even be available to purchase on the day.

Kind Regards

350 maximum, didn't we take over 1000 there last year?

Although i would say the number mentioned is a bit low we dont have a massive away following even though some people like to think we do. We take big crowds to reading and palace but I wouldnt say we have a large away following, loyal but not large.

Way out west
Don't know how many of us were there but we made a hell of a noise at the final whistle, thought that I was going to go deaf, can't remember many games where the atmosphere was better.
