Awful. Just awful.

We're not going to Euro 2008.

Shearer will have the respect of the players, he's got a wealth of international experience, and my missus fancies him so I won't get any grief when England are on.

EVERYONES a winner :)

Is that the same Shearer the England squad were moaning about slagging them off after the Trinidad & Tobago game?

Should be a good move though.

Shearer is an England LEGEND. Cut him in half and little miniature lions would jump out and ATTACK you. He is clearly management material, and having him on the England coaching staff is a GREAT move by McLaren.

I wholeheartedly approve. Just wish the two of them could take over RIGHT NOW.

I'd rather have Jimmy Greaves.

I would not see alan shearer as a bad choice as a number 2, he is new, fresh, he will be willing to learn and as others have said, he has got alot of international experiance as a player, and i think best of all he wont be set in his ways......all in all would not be a bad move imo
