probably that he will come here and provide effective emergency cover knowing that most weeks he will start and finish on the bench - hard to get someone of the right calibre prepared to accept that situation

I would say we need cover in that position.

I would agree as that was probably the downfall of both Tunnicliffe and McNulty but irrespective I have more faith in Gus choosing somebody he likes the look of than many others. If Gus thinks he can do a job and he comes in and does that job that is fine by me.

I would say we need cover in that position.

I think that bringing in more quality as first choice is more important and needed than bringing in cover/squad players. If the players coming in are good enough to be automatic first choice the back up/cover will be made up of the players they replace.

Seemed good the one time I saw him. Would be welcome here on minimal fee and as a back-up wage wise. Make a half decent starter but we have one of those already. If going to replace Calde in starting line up then disappointed as need to be great for that, but as good a challenger / back-up as any team in this league could hope for.
