Don't do a special breakfast generally. Will be roast chicken for dinner I'd imagine then buffet later on.
I've now been persuaded that doing a curry for dinner is a good idea so that now instead of chicken. And maybe bacon sandwiches for breakfast.

Although it will take a bit of preparation and cooking it will require far less than a roast dinner so I can spend more time with the wife and kids (ie on the sofa drinking and watching TV :thumbsup:). I'll probably still do sprouts if it's any help :)

**Pear and Cranberry Bellini (or soft drink for under 18s) & Canapés on arrival**


Amuse Bouche:

Roast chestnut & wild mushroom soup with parmesan wafer & truffle shavings (v)


Then choose one of the following:

Spiced langoustine bisque with garlic mulled croûte & parmesan rouille

Home smoked pigeon breast with mixed lentil Dahl & smoked pancetta

Three bird terrine with duck hearts, dehydrated figs, maple & garlic toasts

Spiced pumpkin & breaburn tart with walnut crusted golden cross, French onion reduction (v)

Smoked trout, chrein, gooseberry compote with wafer toasts

Followed by a taste of:

Champagne sorbet with gooseberry syrup


The Main Event:

Pan fried fillet of wild sea bass with crayfish & cornichon beurre blanc

30 day hung prime rump of Sussex beef with horseradish cream

Roast nut-crusted butternut, aubergine & polenta pie with wild mushroom stroganoff (v)

Baked brined turkey breast with slow braised leg, smoked bacon, sage & pork pattie, red current roti gravy

Tandoori crispy duck confit, Bombay potatoes, mulled spice yoghurt with raw cranberry & red pepper pakora

Baked vegan ******s with charred smokey tofu, truffled tatties ‘n’ neeps and a port wine jus (v)

Fairly standard really.

Breakfast: Smoked Salmon on breakfast muffin with poached egg and lashings of cracked pepper, espresso.

Lunch: Slow roasted Lamb, veg, roasties, mash, awesome gravy.

Dinner: Beef sandwich slathered in horseradish on soft WHITE BREAD

9pm: Strong, stinky, veiny, cheeses with port and a cigar.

9pm-bed: Get pissed.

How spooky, thats almost exactly the same as us......we do sometimes substitute turkey for something like duck or goose, but always Gammon.
