NooBHA the answer to your point number 2 is still in the automatic positions having played so well but as I have said many times and been slated CH made a huge mistake re left back and this has cost us dearly. On all other aspects he has got it bang on so hopefully we will press on again.

Did you honestly expect to be in the Top2..............I am surprised by that.............................. My expectation was to be around 7th or 8th at this stage and hopefully grab a play off spot late on in the season and then hang on to it if possible

So when you say grab a playoff place late on, do you mean 6 points against Derby and Boro???
I think i would prefer to have some extra points at that point of the season.

My only comment is that the Albion have forgotten how to win, which is a worry.

In May or August I would have said 8th would be great but on 22nd Nov after the draw at Burnley I would have said yes to being in the top 2. I expected a draw at Derby and a win at QPR, and possibly home to Ipswich but definitely a win at home to Wolves. I know CH is friend of your but I believe he made a huge error in putting his trust in Liam Rosenior and Inigo Calderon to be adequate cover for Bong and this has proved the case as we have dropped off the pace.. I am sure that if we can take 7 points from our next 3 games we will be back on track for automatic. I think that we are chasing and capable of reaching 2nd and that Middlesbro will pull away at the top.

My post actually said '' grab a play off spot late on in the season and then hang on to it if possible ''

Hang on is not a phrase I like to hear in football, so I would prefer to be safely 6 points clear just in case, hanging on is too high risk for me against arguably the 2 strongest sqauds in the championship.
Playoffs is a must this season IMO.

BG no club in the Championship has 3 recognised and experienced left backs it is just not possible to keep within FFP Regulations and have squads that big. He tried to get Ridgwell in the last time we exchanged messages on this subject and I told you he was looking at several places where restrictions to transfers didn't apply but he wasn't available then.

The injury to Bong happened during the loan window and he put his faith somewhat understandably in Liam Rosenior having played in that position in the Premier but we lost his influence on the right of midfield. This was his mistake he should have pushed for a left back when Bong initially got injured so as to restore Liam to right midfield and also have a left back. When Liam got injured, which nobody could have expected the window was either shut or very nearly so the position became desperate and we had to rely on Inigo Calderon, which hasnt worked as we have been continuously targeted down our left side and also lost the influence of Murphy as he hasnt been receiving the ball from the left back sufficiently well. Calderon has done his best but unfortunately time and age has shown his best is no longer good enough despite his heart being there.

I accept fully as you say that at the time of Roseniors injury he had to try clubs not covered by the regulations and as you say Ridgewell wasnt available then. But I feel that more effort should have been made when Bong got injured during the loan window and I find it hard to accept that at that time there was no left backs available to take on loan. We are still in a similar position if Ridgewell gets injured or a red card in the next 5 weeks until Bong is fit and hopefully there are no setbacks with him. He obviously has no confidence in Chicksen so he should have been replaced during the loan window. I think that he has done a wonderful job turning us around from relegation fodder to possible promotion but that is his one blip.

I agree with this and we should have got in a specialist left back when Bong became crocked.

Whereas Rosenior ( a utility player was a more than adequate replacement ) the assumption was that lightning wouldn't strike twice in the same place (position) but it did and, above all other areas on the pitch, left back is the one which has truly cost us (leaving aside individual errors and moments of madness.

I actually think that everyone is entitled to their opinions and Ernest is entitled to his but it was strange a couple of people who voted out and then changed their minds when Bozza ''outed'' them so to speak as OUT Voters.

My questions are this this though to Ernest

If you want Chris to be sacked and you clearly do because you asked this question. Even although we already have 44 points in January. We are in a play off place and not that far off the top 2, even after a period of 4 League games where we have had 5 or 6 first team regulars out injured.

1. Where do you actually think we should be at this stage in the season

2. Do you think a different Manager could have turned round a failing squad as quickly as Chris has done

AND FINALLY

3. Name me your replacement who could achieve your aspirations

Show yourself to be a serious intelligent person and poster Ernest. Answer the questions with common sense answers and not ''DULLARD out'' nonsense which you tend to hide behind. I am sure there is an intelligent football thinking brain behind all that Bravado shit DULLARD nonsense you post, so prove it to me. Prove that your an intelligent man and not just an attention seeking Nomad looking to gain notoriety here on these boards ??

I can't get my head around anyone starting this poll at this time. Just over a month ago we had gone nearly half a season without defeat, and a new Brighton record. Broken the Championship record of most games undefeated. At the beginning of the season anyone that had predicted that would have been laughed off the board, like this poll should be now.
Let us just remember that Hughton kept us up last season, and hopes were very moderate for this year.
Did not most of us think that the richer clubs and the ones with the parachute payments would be right up there.
Well Brighton are fourth, have a long injury and are struggling at the moment. When we are fighting relegation then a poll could be put up. Meanwhile with only half the season gone, in fourth place with players coming back, we have a poll put up by someone who seems desperate to see us fail.

All the time Ernest gets bites on his fishing threads, he'll continue with them.

With a near fully fit squad, we are as good as anyone in this division. Just look at the injury lists of Boro, Derby, Hull, Burnley, Ipswich, Sheff Wed etc and then look at ours. Look at the number of influential players we have lost.
Boro and Derby wouldn't have been able to maintain the pace with 7 first teamers out. When we played at Derby, we were superb and could have won. A respected Derby journ

....sorry.... cut short in my prime....to resume.....the Derby journo said we were the best team he had seen this season v Derby ( and he had seen Boro, Hull and Burnley ) This is a blip but only a blip. Normal service will be resumed. Just be patient.
