As you're in Lancing go to Alverstone Autos on the industrial estate near the fire station (only a few hundred yards from Setyres). They're on the goodgarage scheme - look them up - always very reasonable and don't take the piss:thumbsup:

I would agree with Alverston and Rapid Auto Centre are good Garages but my advice is don't get too hung up on this Good Garage Scheme, as effectively they pay to join the scheme it really doesn't mean they are the best garages i know lot's of garages who are genuine garages that don't need to be part of a scheme because they are fair they get recommendation after recommendation there is no better way IMO.

I have used Setyres in the past but was certainly ripped off on my last visit there. Can anyone recommend an MOT garage in Worthing please?

Ah, Setyres, that takes me back. Nothing to do with the original post but I worked for some months in their warehouse in Coombe Road - the one that's now a storage place where that woman's body was found.

It was a great job: two or three hours of work loading and unloading and the rest of the time dossing around/playing cards/football etc

They are a bunch of cowboys. I went there with my first car, I know nothing about cars & it probably showed. They took my phone number & called me every hour or so with a new problem that needed fixing. Ended up spending a large amount & I'm almost certain they charged me for things they didn't do.

Steer well clear! Just MOT's/Mr MOT or someone like that is your best bet - they have nothing to gain from finding things which are wrong with your car.

As quoted above Just Mot's would be your best bet as no vested interest in finding problems, and you have 10 days for a free retest, I wouldn't go anywhere else their a good bunch of guys even though one is my son
