Selhurst Park phase 1 of proposed development.
Crystal Palace's plans for phase one of the proposed developments of their home premises Selhurst Park have hit early problems concerning plans to introduce a new tea urn behind the Arthur Waites stand. Steve Parish, co Chairman of the south London club has registered his disappointment at the hold ups following claims from locals that the tea urn which on the original drawings had a capacity of 9 litres has been increased to one of 18 litres without any amendments to the original plans and drawings and would have to go back out to public consultation to ascertain whether it met new guild lines on tea urn capacities.Parrish went on to say that after plans for a new 40 thousand seater stadium had been axed this introduction of the urn had softened the blow for many long suffering supporters and had shown that the club was moving in the right direction towards their main goals of providing a new burger van and a 120 hole latrine in the new hospitality area underneath the Sainsburys supermarket stand.
Reg Grunge, chairman of the unofficial unofficial supporters group said that they would work with the club and the local authorities to make sure that the developments went forward on time even if it meant supplying more than one kettle so that tea demand was met.
Parrish went on to say that the order for the new shovels for digging the latrines had been placed so this indicated to all concerned that the club means business.
