Sausage by the sea!!!
I have been prescribed these beauties for stress and anxiety!
I would really appriecate any feedback?

Seems being prescribed drugs to reduce your stress has just added to it.
I was thinking the same....that's the trouble all that thinking!
How about you give me some and I'll try them out for you
I took these for 6 months. I didn't get on well with them, to be quite honest. Lots of unpleasant side effects to contend with. They do make you feel less anxious though, if a little bit zombified.
What strength are you on? For ref, I believe I was on 50/60mg a day.
Oh and forget about a sex life whilst you're taking them At least, you'll have to concentrate a lot to generally keep things up and "finishing" is out of the question. Them be bad shit.
I really appriacete that mate, I am really not keen on taking them, I try to avoid tablets if I can.
Thank you
You're welcome bud. Essentially, if you're less of a wimp than me and can deal with the side-effects-you'll probably find they do wonders for you.
What was more effective for me was a course of CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) with the nhs.
Best of luck. Positive Mental Attitude and all that..you'll beat this thing!
My wife takes them and if I am honest it is very hard to tell if they help or not as she takes a real cocktail of anti depressants.and anti psychotics.
They are less damaging in terms of side effects than some of the alternatives like tramadol and diazapam - at least in our experience. Talk to your doctor about your concerns and whether there are alternatives other than medication. CBT is an option and most hospitals have therapy groups which can help. I am a great believer that almost all medicines are most effective if taken for a brief period. Take them for too long and the benefits usually wane and the side effects and reliance tends to increase. The key is being proactive and questioning your doctor at every step to prevent them takong easy options. My wife developed drug induced dementia caused entirely by GP prescribed medications. It has bren a long battle to restore a degree of normality and we still fight a constant battle with her doctors and specialist who largely refuse to accept any culpability.. As a result of experiencing their attitudes I am convinced that a significant proportion of dementia in the elderly is linked to GP prescribed medication which continues to be widely unacknowledged. Be cautious.

I can back up just about everything that TSB has said. People get different side effects. The elctric shocks or brain zaps are not particularly pleasant but only about 5 - 10% of people get these I believe. I would not say they make you Zombiefied so much. In my case they made me more blunt ( more so than usual, which I would have thought be possible ). Made me kind of care less/ not give a toss about certain things. Tend to get pissed quicker as well, so that helps with the bank balance.
Worst thing I have found is trying to get off the things when you have been on them a while. You are supposed to cut down gradually. Now if I have not had one for three days I start getting massivly dizzy and get the previously mentioned brain zaps. Its a bastard.
