No there is a possibility of Napoli v Inter playoff if results fall that way
Head to head or goal difference won't settle the title this year
(Apparently reverting to normal next season GD can decide it )
Fixture Moved to Friday to help accommodate that possibility before Inter s Champ league game next Saturday
Doing a bit more research it would seem that the two games tonight WERE pulled forward from the weekend to facilitate a play-off if required.

However, I've looked back now at the last ten seasons and the final round of matches are always spread over two or more days - obviously in Italy they just aren't bothered about all 10 matches taking place simultaneously.

just saw this, hadn't realised how well they were going. Gilmour cant believe his luck, and Scott "not good enough for Man U" McTominay must be laughing.

Is there any correlation between the fixtures like tonight
Historically I mean
Relegation battle Saturday Title games Sunday as an example ?

I hadn't realized that Serie A doesn't play the final round of games at the same time. I guess it's because there's no history of corruption in Italian football...

It's same in La Liga. Betis and Valencia are playing right now (to give Betis a day more to prepare for the Conference league final), tomorrow afternoon there are Espanyol and Alaves playing their matches in the relegation battle and then in the evening teams competing for 7th and 8th place.

Interesting.

Is there much made of this in other countries? (ie is there a push to have all the matches played simultaneously in the interests of integrity?).

I think they split the games up that don’t mean anything and move them to another day/time so people can still get their TV football fix. So if 10th are playing 14th you can play that anytime.
Anything that involves a few clubs like relegation battles, title deciders or European qualifications this matches kick off at the same time
