What is going to happen when one of the big 4 do not qualify for Europe though? Its got to happen sooner or later now that Man City have a rich backer and teams like Aston Villa are doing so well.
What happens if the rich backers lose all their money, take their money out of football and others dont want to replace them? What happens if Sky gets into financial difficulties cos no-one wants to pay for advertising anymore and they start losing vast sums of income because of the economic situation. Might happen - this is supposed to be the worst recession for 100 years.
I am not worried about the current rich clubs as I really could not give a damn about them, but the ramifications to all lower earning clubs could be disastrous.
Thoughts anyone?
