Hello Every1, im going to make this a regular topic of my weekly round up of the last race and a preview of the up and coming, i only decied to do this tonight so here's the first draft SEPANG!
After lasts weeks tremendous achievements by Mr Schumacher (elder lol) we look onwards to Sepang, the Malaysian GP 2004 and possbile the most heated on the calender!
Predictions:
A strong performance by both Ferari and Renault, with a possible podium finish of:
1. M.Schumacher
2. F.Alonso
3. J.Montoya
Hope you enjoy it and he's a bit of background (P.s. next weeks review will have a bit more to say this is just a last minute thread trying to shed some light onto the subject!)
Cheerz
2003 Race Results:
1 Kimi Raikkonen
2 Rubens Barrichello
3 Fernando Alonso
4 Ralf Schumacher
5 Jarno Trulli
6 Michael Schumacher
7 Jenson Button
8 Nick Heidfeld
Sepang made a big impression when it joined the F1 calendar in 1999. The drivers loved the wide-open spaces and the sweeping corners, while facilities were second to none. The '99 race saw one of the biggest controversies in recent F1 history when the Ferraris of Eddie Irvine and Michael Schumacher were disqualified from first and second places for running illegal bargeboards – then later re-instated.
The next two races were also dominated by Ferrari. In 2000, Schumacher enjoyed a championship party two weeks after winning the title in Japan and a year later he and Rubens Barrichello staged an incredible fightback after losing nearly a minute changing to wet tyres.
Ralf Schumacher ended Ferrari's domination of the event in 2002, winning comfortably after brother Michael and team-mate Juan Pablo Montoya clashed at the first corner. Both fought back to finish on the podium but the Colombian received F1's first ever drive-through penalty for his troubles. McLaren took the honours in 2003, Kimi Raikkonen winning a race for the first time.
