Sentenced terrorists - and the witch-hunt on the detectives

It's probably quite difficult to make sure you pin a case on a terrorist suspect, and be 100% correct.

They caught some of them recently though, and jailed them for life, meaning life.

The recriminations that follow were fast and furious - not readily handing out thanks and congratulations, no applause, apparently little time for gratitude....... but rather the blame that the London bombers were NOT caught, even though they were suspects at the time. This is raging in the media right now, and I'm wondering why no-one is stopping to dwell on thankfulness that the work done proved fruitful.

Am I missing some of the story here? Or do NSC think it's right to give the detectives instead of ?

hindsight is always a wonderful thing and I for one give a to the detectives.
THe number of plots they have uncovered is enough for me to do this

Amazes me the bigger point is totally missed and MI5 get the blame.

Like why do people do these things - because the cannot stand the USA and other governmants that go along with them.

These blokes must have spoken to hundreds of other like minded people, both here and abroad so are MI5 supposed to follow them all, then follow the people they talk to?

People ask why they weren't stopped.
Simply because you have to have a cast iron case.
Sure, you can know someone is a terrorist, but unless you can produce concrete evidence you can't stop them!
