Logic says Baleba and Mitoma however while we get most of a season out of Baleba, Mitoma we don’ which then opens the door for JPVH or Bart, I think Pedro is on his way so while I would be very unhappy too only keep two I would pick Baleba and JPVH

I would choose to keep Baleba and JPVH.
While Mitoma is clearly the most influential (not to say flashy), he is in his prime and his sale value is going to decline. He has been a great servant to the club and I wouldn't want to keep him from pursuing Champions League football.
With JPVH, I have a feeling that we could keep him for many more seasons.
Baleba can have one more monster season and then leave for a club-record fee. Additionally, we do have many promising central midfielders taking up his spot.

Mitoma has earned the right to move on, and this is our chance to cash in on a 4 mil investment. My heart says a very different thing tho!

JPVH seems to be being groomed as a future captain, at least he should be!!!!

One more good season for Baleba and he becomes a 60-80mil player with hopefully Yalcoure or someone else primed to replace him.

Bart could go, but only if the club have a solid replacement in mind and they turn a heavy profit.

JP seems to be agitating to go, but it won’t be like Ali Mac or wee Billy. We’ll hold out for as much as possible because we don’t need to sell anyone really.

Joao Pedro is probably off anyway if we get the right price, and we have a number of young keepers coming through, so I was just about to vote for those two, when I saw it was three 😲

My first thought was bollox to that, but considering it further I'd sell the most skillful player I have ever seen play regularly, Kaoru. Simply because I believe he's currently at his absolute peak (he couldn't get even better, could he ?), has served us well, and struggled with fitness the last couple of seasons.

The question is really who would you sell out of Baleba, Mitoma and JPVH. Which is an awful question, and very hard to pick. The answer is, I don't want us to sell any of them.
BUT, trying to break it down, I think Baleba will probably command the highest fee, and being younger I think he is less likely to stay for a longer period of time. I would sell Baleba only on the basis that we're likely to get top money for him, and could keep the other two.

I voted for Beleba, however those saying defensive midfielders are harder to find obviously have short memories.

It’s the one area we constantly recruit well, Bissouma, Caicedo and now Baleba. And we have Yalcouyé who also looks an exceptional find.
Yeah this.

We have options within the club to replace him, which we don't have for Van Hecke and Mitoma.

Hopefully it's just Pedro who goes this season.

It's just for fun.

PBOBE isn't waiting for the result to see who to move on.

You don't have to contribute.

You don't have to tell me I've started another shit poll.

You don't have to reply "all of them".

So, of our big money players who are seemingly being coveted by other clubs, which two would you keep if you could keep only two?
Found that so hard. I'd keep all except for Pedro. Think Bart will just get better, he is so young for a keeper. Also Van Hecke and Baleba are going to improve so all will be worth more in years to come. Mitoma's value may start to drop over the next season or 2 but he is a game changer. Pedro I think gives off that feeling that he thinks he is better than the squad and for that reason alone I'd get rid of him.

There is one person here who really doesn’t rate our squad to only pick just ONE player from that list rather than 2 😂

It boils down to Carlos +1 for me and the choice for the +1 is between JPvH and Bart.

No disrespect to Mitoma - I absolutely love the guy, but the sensible, logical me (there isn't really another me) says that his transfer value will only go south from here, given his age. I would be very sad to see him go, but Bozza made me do it.

Joao Pedro? We'd get a decent fee and the player (and his penalties) would be missed, but the recent kerfuffle suggests a danger to squad harmony (and I'm not allowed to keep all 5).

Bart? I rate him very highly. He has a tough job as a modern keeper and the mistakes should become fewer and further between as he matures. We have highly rated keepers on the production line though and I'm only allowed to keep one more as Baleba is DEFINITELY STAYING.

JPvH. Our next Dunky - we need a rock at the back and he's a highly cultured rock (like the Goldstone overed in yoghurt?). He seems like a great character to have in the squad, his value has a long way to go yet I believe, so he is STAYING too.

TLDR?
I really want to sell Mitoma, Jaoa Pedro and Bart Verbruggen (see what you made me do Bozza?)

Keep - Mitoma and JPVH

I just don't think we can replace Mitoma's on pitch and commercial contribution to the club. We should convince him that one more season with us, plus a fat new contract, to help him realise more European football makes sense. We could even have a gentleman's agreement a la MacAllister that he can go next year.

Without him next year we just don't fire in an attacking sense.

Rationale - Baleba as incredible as he is we have incoming cover in Yalcouye & Ayari (much more to come from him).

Re: Baleba. Has the emergence of Gravenberch this season done us a favour? City have Rodri, Arsenal have Rice, Newcastle have Guimaraes, Chelsea have Caicedo. Man Utd and Tottenham can't currently afford the price. Unless City are spending massively for the future, Liverpool currently looks like the only option. Although they definitely could and would have paid for Caicedo before they were gazumped, would Liverpool want to spend £100m on a defensive midfielder now?

(Obviously I've just suggested that they might be in for Wharton on the Palace thread, but that was stirring the pot. Don't tell them eh? ;):ROFLMAO:)

Went for Mitoma (his goals and incisive runs forward are too important IMO) and JPVH.

I ummed and ahhhed about Baleba, but ultimately felt that we've proven we can replace in that position once already (Caicedo -> Baleba) so surely we can do it again (I've just jinxed it haven't I?). I also think we've got options in that area that "can do a job" even if it's not quite to Baleba standard, especially if they've got JPVH behind them.

Horrible game, but I'd keep Van Hecke and Baleba. Vber hard to replace either whereas I think we have cover for the Pedro and Bart, and sort of for Mitoma, albeit not as good.

Lose Van Hecke and Baleba in the same window and that's a massive gap to fill. MASSIVE.
