My rationale is that CBs are more replaceable than world class wingers, and very talented midfielders (see season 2 under RdZ). Baleba only came to the fore performance wise this season….

Given the strength of our current CBs, JPvH has to stay for me. Then, it’s a choice between Mitoma and Baleba. Mitoma.

If we sign starting CBs, then Carlos replaces JPvH.

Had to go with Mitoma and Beleba as I think they are the hardest to replace.
Had we been allowed 3 then the poll becomes very easy.

Yep exactly - but I’m thinking too of who we have coming in - Boscagli will be a CB starter for us next season I reckon - we have Rushworth, Steele and Scherpen that can fill Bart’s boots, and our goal scoring distribution makes Pedro as a goal scorer in open play, less crucial.

The reality is, @Bozza has named our top players so a loss of any of them will be

While I enjoy the consistent high quality play of JPvH, and his leadership on and off the pitch is impressive- I voted for Baleba and Mitoma. In Major League Baseball, there is a great stat: “Wins Against Replacement” which calculates the value each players contribution vs an average sub or replacement. I would argue the Mitoma and Baleba have our highest WAR numbers. JPvH would be right behind them. tough call.
