These were posted about the Luton fan who got assualted:

"Its been going on down there for a while now what with the limited ticket allocation not many clubs are going down there mob handed and bha have taken full advantage of the situation knowing full well the opposistion if any are likely to be season ticket holders etc hence many stories of shirts getting slapped usually on the way to the ground this is not an isolated incident no fuckin respect for them. "

Then someone wrote this (a Luton fan):

"you saying the luton fan that got hurt was by a copper is bollox.
according to the police who witnessed the attack, this was your top boy, who they have been trying to get for a few years. what a scumbug **** whacking an innocent fan, to anybody else who reads this, check this, the wanker shouted out when he was getting nicked, "you should'nt have called my mum a slag", bha, that is f***ing embarrasing you and your queer mates are f***ing scum, "

Seems we have a few unruly elements. But then again I dont think its as clear cut as people make out. Sheffield Utd etc last season gave more then as good as they could get. I also doubt very much that any so called top boys would pick on an innocent fan, more likely to be a bloke trying to make a name for himself.

Agree that it is being blown out of all proportion..but then again its this sort of thing in the press (ie the sun the other) that could put falmer at threat.

So what about all those Pompey fans slapping our Shirts after the Grimsby game last year?

Same thing but nothing made of it was there.

Just one idiot trying to look big in front of a load of Burberry Kindergarden Kids I expect.

yeah if it gets into the press in a big way then that will hit Falmer, then again they will just look at the hooligan arrest list that came out last week and see that we're way down the bottom. Afterall the've agreed to Cardiffs stadium wth their reputation so it probably wont hurt Falmer at all.

I think this is a load of bull - quite a few clubs seem to return half their allocation.

Putting on this site is not such a good idea then is it, We know for a fact that someone talked to the Sun about what happens here.

Agreed. Im probably just getting paranoid about the inquiry etc. If we lose out I really have no idea where the club will go from then.

The only people who "have agreed to Cardiff's stadium" are Cardiff City Council's Planning Committee.

The Cardiff planning application may well be called in for a Public Inquiry by the Welsh Assembly Planning Minister (in the same way that John Prescott called in our planning application for a Public Inquiry).

Don't assume that the opponents of Falmer have run out of arguments.

these things are always blown well out of proportion. its just a bunch of kids trying to big themselves up.

More likely larged it up and then it all went wrong.

It seems to me that the old bill go completely over the top when it comes to football fans in Brighton. There was a heavy presence for QPR and an even heavier one for Luton. I think that this contributes to away fans' fears that it's all going to go off.

As Rich says, all that seems to have happened is one fan got minor injuries. Sad, but it's not the battle of the Somme.

Like the rest of you, I've never seen any trouble at Withdean games and we should give these reports little credence. Our hooliganism record (or lack of it) should speak for itself.

at home
As I walked out of the ground, up th slope to the car park about 10 Luton "shirts" came around the corner and one looked at the Brighton fans and said " Hold your arses lads, gay boys around"

Now, I am not a violent man, but if I wasn't with the company I was with I think I would have put the twat right on a few things.

What gives these fecking low life the right to say that to my face when the coppers stand by and do nothing. I assume if I had twatted him one then I would have been in the wrong.

As it was I just looked at him and he and his "mates" ( all 40 somethings) and he sloped off looking a tad alarmed.

As for all this bollux about Falmer, I wish people would stop all this, " If we stand up we wont get falmer" " If we swear we wont get Falmer" " If we fart we wont get Falmer" " If we look at another person in a funny way we wont get Falmer" When the cost of a staduim is taken into account, the sensitivity of the location, the public enquiry, the objections on environmental grounds, planning issues are taken into account, us dropping a crisp packet leaf on the ground is hardly going to register.

I have never ever seen any trouble at any brighton home game, I really don't believe that there is much trouble at brighton games. The only time that there was a small amount of bother was at the Crystal Palace away game last season, but that was down to the police. All the away fans that I have spoken to have always been extremely friendly.
