Keep battling, if we could stop the Aussies winning this it would surely be a big mental blow, with the time remaining it's difficult to see but possible, they still need to take 16 wickets.

Oh no... Stokes drags one on from Marsh... 87 (128 balls, 13 fours, 1 six)

A great innings... but terribly disappointing it is over after such a great session and 145 run partnership with Cpt Cook.

175-5

OUCH! Alastair Cook takes a nasty rap on the point of the elbow, leaving a short one from Johnson. Physio on :nono:

Lunch, Day 3

A great session for England 28 overs, 96 runs, 1 wicket.

England 181-5 (57 overs)

Cook 56* (167 balls, 6 fours) Buttler 5* (6 balls, 1 four)

Just 186 runs to go.

Not a bad session. Such a shame Stokes wicket took a bit of gloss off it. Always feel sorry for a batsmen dragging on like that.

Not bad for England so far. Cook needs to get a big hundred with one of the lower order getting a 50 to avoid the follow on though - it could/should be a nail biting 2 sessions.

I backed the draw at 4.5 first thing this morning; seemed like generous enough odds at the time.

Warne was saying a minute or 2 ago that he couldn't see the Aussies enforcing the follow on with 8 sessions still remaining. Would still be a nice milestone though.

They aren't going to have the opportunity to do that anyway... same old shite from Warne. :nono:

Steve Smith DROPS Alastair Cook on 63, pulled a short one from Johnson and it's dropped at a fairly close backward square leg.

That is a HUGE MOMENT in this innings for England.

Buttler WALKS!

Just a feather of an edge to Lyon's first ball of the new spell, hardly shows on hotspot... walked before the finger could go up.

210-6
