Thank you (I'm sure it was different when I looked)

My seat number in West Upper has changed from 187 to 214.

Very nice email from the club explaining it all.

Wonder how many seats there are now?

Important information regarding your season ticket ➡

We are writing to inform you of changes to seating at the stadium...

Dear Supporter,

We are writing to inform you of some changes we have made to the stadium during this period of being behind closed doors.

A key change is a re-numbering of the stadium. Following the installation of some new seats, we have opted to number each stand independently, rather than the stadium running from seat number 1 in the west lower all the way around to seat 999 in the south lower.

We would like to assure you, the seating location of your season ticket has not changed and you still have the same view from the same location. However please be aware that your seat number has changed.

Please remember it is unlikely you will be able to sit in your own seat until we are able to open at 100% capacity, but if you are successful in the ballot, and wish to try and select your seat or one as close to it as possible, we wanted to advise you of this change, both to the digital online booking system and physical seat numbering inside the stadium.

The seat details for you/your group have changed as follows:

Please note at the present time the Club will not be sending out new season cards. We will review this decision once we are in a position to re-open at 100% capacity and once you are able to return to your selected season ticket seat for every match.

Finally please note we have also changed the block plan in the south east corner. Block S1A which is now for home fans will now be referred to as Block E1I and Block S1B which is usually visitors seating, will be broken in to two sections S1A and S1B. Please see the new block map below:

Kind regards,

Same view / location? So not the same seat? So have they squeezed in more seats by shunting the seats close together?

Weren’t the new seats added where there’d previously been poor use of space with gaps? For example at ends of stands and on the curves of corners. Did they ever sort out the top of WSU ... in the first few seasons there were empty stepped concrete rows lacking seats and far bigger than a TV cameraman would require.

Communication is one of the most important aspects of any organisations work. If only the club had sent the email before changing the seat numbers.

Have the works on the North Stand finished already? Could they be the extra seats? Or have the council not even granted planning permission yet?

Oh to live a life where the most alarming thing over the past few days is someone changed your seat number prior to letting you know.

No wonder the world's in such a mess.

+++++ That's the seat NUMBER, not its location.

Don't think anyone has claimed it was the worst thing to happen. That said, wouldn't it have been wiser on the part of the club to send the email out before updated their database!!!

I am genuinely interested, what difference would it have made? I read the thread yesterday, prior to the email, and thought 'Oh, they must have renumbered them. Can't move everyone'.

I think that post would have carried more esteem if you had posted it as JC Footy Genius rather than the silly one liner account (particularly with the angry emoji)

Hope this helps

Oh and I agree that it makes no difference whatsoever as none of us are going to be in our seats anytime soon. See, you can post sensible things too

They cannot 'shunt seats closer together' without breaking the rules about the maximum number of seats allowed between any seat and the nearest aisle.
