I am liaising with some Wrexham supporters and will PM details to everyone who says they will go next week.

There is only one small fear that Wrexham may have players called up for Wales andthe club will seek a postponement. But the picture will be clearer next week.

It the meantime keep your diaries clear and let's make this an Albion day to remember.

If we get the right press and TV coverage it will also prove once and for all to Mr Prescott that we ARE NOT just a provincial football club on the south coast

Fans United will never be defeated

Just to answer the one question:
Yes, it will be pay on the gate, because we will be classified as HOME supporters standing alonsgide the Wrexham crowd.
It will be quite some sight with the blue and white stripes .... wonder what the Posh will make of it!?

I'll be playing with my band in Berlin that day (7 date German tour cleverly arranged then 'cos there's no Albion game!)

But I'm doing a benefit gig for them at the Racecourse the week after (Sun after
Crewe away)

Yeah I suggested this in a few months ago and they were worried about the game getting called off.

The Wrexham game was called off the other week when Wales played Northern Ireland? Why would it be any different next time?

If it does go ahead though I'll go up and take the banner.

Let Barry Fry know. If he is sympathetic to us, there is no reason why he should not be made aware of Wrexham's plight. Plus if he knows Brighton are in town, he may even come over and applaud us but not the Wrexham fans...
:p

I am ringing Wreham AFC in the week to check out the likelihood of a postponement and also to talk to the senior steward. Will let everyone know the outcome ASAP.
If by any chance it is postponed, will sort a suitable alternative match very soon - before Winter sets in!

I can't go to the game in October but anyone who was at the game in May will know what it meant to the Wrexham fans to have the support.

If you can go - make the effort. It will be worth it.

Marvellous scenes indeed

Was an excellent day out there last season. If the game is going ahead I'll try and get there.

I'm up for it, what about other fans? Will my mate be alright in his Arsenal shirt?

I would think so ... its a sort of Fans United event anyway. Also making contact with Peterboro to let them know what we are doing.

The only unknown at the moment is the effect the international call ups may have on the match. Will have a clearer picture later this week.

Will PM everyone who has posted to this thread with details once we know it is definitely ON!

UPDATE 22-9-04

This is what I have been getting back from Wrexham re: the match on 10 October. It looks likely the match will now be postponed.
I will confirm one way or other on Friday.
If this is the case, anyone want to suggest an alternative fixture date?
I think this is something we must do:

"We have three players called up for international duty therefore Dennis Smith has the right to postpone the game which logically he will. Dennis Lawrence is currently out injured but should be fit to play for Trinidad and Tobago that week."

"At the moment I would say Craig Morgan and Simon Spender are definites to be called up for Wales Under 21 with Mark Jones a possible.
We've got a lot of injuries at the moment so I would reckon it's going to be called off due to call ups."

"The last four games that were alongside our fixtures were called off, so I would guess that this one will be."
