Seagulls in no hurry
Brighton insist they are in no hurry to appoint a new manager following last week's departure of Steve Coppell to Reading.
Coppell finally ended speculation over his future by leaving the Withdean Stadium to become the new Royals boss last Thursday.
Bob Booker, Coppell's assistant, is in charge of the table-topping Seagulls on a caretaker basis during which time they have earned wins over Grimsby and non-league Forest Green Rovers.
A club spokesman said: "The chairman is continuing to go through the applications for the job.
"There's still no deadline for us to get a new manager in place."
