I cancelled this a while back, we should have all boycotted the player together but no one did to make an impact. I won't be renewing until I'm sure it's sorted I'm not paying for something that isn't working. If it supports the club or not I really don't care I want a service that was promised to me

Errr............no I didn't. If you ask a polite question then there is no issue.

Saying 'heads must roll' isn't a question.

I have Seagulls Player and also think it is bobbins, so will gladly join any action/campaign to have the service improved, including, (but not restricted to), mass resignation from SP to show that we are not prepared to accept the poor level of service.

I would encourage 1901'ers to do the same. If everyone refused to eat the £14 catering 'specials' on the same day then the club would sit up and take notice perhaps as they would be left with some inedible leftovers.

Non violent, direct civil action is always an effective approach IMO.

this was said in my 3rd post about player in "ask the club" and to be quite honest heads should roll player has been shite for years and nobody takes the slightest bit of notice
if insider works for the club I might ask why is he not banging on Barbers door and asking WTF is going on, how many people are paying £5 per month for a service that is not fit for purpose, it is the only connection to a commentary for all those not living in the area or abroad.
I am entitled to an opinion
all the approaches you have mentioned have not yet worked in the many years I had Player
and mass resignation would mean many would have no commentary at all for exactly how long?

On the 1901 bit El P. At the Leics game there were several other issues including the top bar being closed directly after the game although there were 2/3 girls behind the bar. All moans were rebuffed by saying it's nothing to do with 'me/us', it's outside caterers. Can we not get together as a 'committee' and front this with a club rep. We pay a good few bob for the 1901 and it just never fulfills the obligations and expectancy of it's members.

Given the issues I'd be interested in a statement from the club explaining how much of the services is down to them and how much is contracted out, and further if the contract gives them any ability to fix/alter the performance. If there is nothing that they can/would be prepared to do then I'd unsubscribe, because outsourced services such as this the outsourcer generally just cares about cutting costs to increase margins over providing a value-for-money service.

Eh? I thought Bigbelly had gone over to the dark side?

Perhaps he has bought one of these today?

They won't accept the fact it's the service not the bloody browsers it's got nothing to do with them, specifically if you're listening from the app!

Can I suggest the following (and I am happy to draft the letter). All of us who are unhappy with the service agree to a joint letter to Paul Barber (not Insider, he is club communication officer and does a fine job), stating the nature of the issue, that it has failed to have been resolved over a long period of time and that as a consequence we (a) want to cancel our subscription as it is not fit for purpose (b) request a refund of sums paid in advance of such service, and (c) failure to take notice of such action will result in a boycott of other club services and products (such as attending the Reading Cup match.

Paul Barber does take notice of issues of this nature, you may not agree with his replies all the time, but I've received responses to communications from him late at night and even had a 45 minute call from him earlier this year in relation to some issue I raised.

I'm just as unhappy with Seagulls Player, the only reason I keep it is to see the match highlights as I am away many weekends in Russia, China, Cuba and North Korea.

I didn't know you could buy tights that colour any more. The girlfriend will be pleased...

That's the advantage of living in Croydon, things that were out of fashion geneations ago in the rest of the country are still popular there, it's the same for rickets, children chimney sweeps and marrying your sister.

Why should we ban you, apart from the fact you were banned permanently before under your former name?

NMH? Looney? Falkor?

Do go on, dear Tropican leader...

Edit: Oh, I see. Footsoldier is a reincarnation of BigBelly. Should have guessed really. Explains why I have him on ignore at least.

I have already, as of today unsubscribed from SP. I am happy for you to write on my behalf giving any of my personal details if you need to?

I am disgusted with this service and I'm shocked that the reoccurring issues with the service have continued for so long. One months free subscription isn't acceptable as an apology either!
