being hailed the new david Beckham is a bit OTT but the Argus reports on A Hove Rivervale youngster (aged 7) spotted by Real Madrid and his family now moving to Spain such is the talent and belief he will be as big as Wayne Rooney. Get the feeling anoither local potential star has failed to be spotted by the so called scouts the club have.
I also argue that the Euro govern football bodies should stop this happening to youngsters at least under 11 as its too young to be taking the fun of growing up (not saying football isnt) just that thyey should IMHO be without any added pressures of trying to emulate David Beckham.
I also wonder to what level the Albion scouts do their scouting locally and at what level/age/grading etc.
Anyway good luck to the kid though it does leave me feeling are we once again as a club in this wide-spread county missing out on local talent oh yes of course weve had Ian Chapman and beyond playing but maybe we've also missed the odd one or two too.
even though many say they are not wortthy of the exams of the past they are here and a Well done the Albion youth players that passed their A level exama showing theyve sum brains not just a good pair of feet in a pair of football boots, Jake Robinson included
long may the great Dean Wilkins work with these youngsters to turn them into the Wayne Rooneys of the future.
