Sleeping on the roof
which songs have floated your boat?

Love this song, and there are a lot of other good ones in this thread, especially in Buzzer's post.

My submission:

edit: Oh and I missed Pantani mentioning Ivor Cutler, one of the main reasons I ever used to listen to John Peel. I had one Ivor Cutler album and must get around to getting some more.

Too much to list. Much too much. I'll give you five:

Teenage Fanclub - God Knows It's True
Trashcan Sinatras - Obscurity Knocks
Mogwai - New Paths To Helicon Pt. 2
The Delgados - Under Cover, Under Wraps
The Zephyrs (featuring Rachael Goswell) - Setting Sun

Surprised Primal Scream have only had a couple of mentions....especially after Robert Young throwing a six the other week.

What ever happened to Glasvegas? They were the next big thing for a while!

Just about the worst band I've ever seen live. Loved a few tracks off their first album, Daddy's Gone and that one that goes "You don't want to kill me..." but I gave up, never even gave their second album a listen.

Add me to the Ivor Cutler fan club list.

A man had woollen eyes
He couldn't see very well
I knit them into a great big ball
And rolled them down the hill

Barabadabada

When he saw what I had done
He said where are my eyes
I gave him two new proper ones
So he could see alright

Barabadabada

He came right up to me
And punched me on the knee
Now give me back my woollen ones
I liked the way I saw

Barabadabada

I ran to the bottom of the hill
And brought the big ball back
He made them into woollen eyes
And placed them where they belonged

Barabadabada

Now if you see a man
With a couple of woollen eyes
Run away with a saucy grin
He can see as well as you

Barabadabada

Never had the "pleasure" of seeing them live so can't comment but that first album was a cracker.....in fact I'm going to whack it on now.
