I just find it strange that the FA taking the moral high ground then as an example to the kids and have a captain who was red carded at the weekend. Get sent off and you too could be England captain. The only others in line are Gerrard or Hart so I suppose looking at it not a winning captain amongst them.

Parker was my choice for captain. He is now a regular player and a hell of a lot more consistent than Gerrard. Gerrard simply isn't the same player for England as he is for Liverpool

Doesn't matter if it's Gerrard or Parker ... too much talk on a minor point.
Spain, Germany & Brazil just get on with reaching finals & winning things.
The english obsession with trivia, many falling into following the media-led agenda of talking up all points, to justify their jobs.
