I don't recall EVER willing Scotland to win a game of anything before last night, except maybe the Woman's Curling in the Winter Olympica a few years ago  I turned on expecting to see the Aussies wipe the floor with the Scots. What I saw was a totally awesome lesson in how to defend whilst taking the scraps of virtually no possession of the ball at all. That game was really absorbing and whilst the Aussies had plenty of opportunity to win the game, take nothing away from the Scots, that was one hell of an entertaining game of rugby. 27 years since they last beat Australia. Well done the Sweaties

What worries me is that I can see England challenging Italy for the wooden spoon this 6 Nations. Close to being time to get rid of Johnson imo, he's had quite a bit of time and we seem to be going backwards. Maybe we should offer Andy Robinson the job :lolol:

Disagree - thought that England looked ok against the All-Blacks and they will fair well in the 6 nations. However they will do so in a negative, forward dominated style that so pervaded the English game in the early/mid 90's.

The Scotland game was fantastic. I can't recall enjoying such a low-scoring game of rugby so much before.

As for England, I think they'll improve for the six nations and may just snatch a surprise second. If they play like the did against New Zealand they should be fine - they just need to concentrate on doing the basics well, which is where I think they have failed this autumn. I guess it depends on how jaded the Irish and Welsh players are after their tour of South Africa last summer. The French normally do well the year after a Lions tour, and I expect next year to be no exception. My early six nations prediction is:

1: France
=2: England
=2: Ireland
4: Wales
5: Scotland
6: Italy
